It depends, but, ideally, we prefer to tile after major plumbing and electrical work have been done, but appliances and fixtures are not installed yet. Getting in before the appliances and fixtures can make the process go a lot smoother and faster. Sometimes, if we have delicate tile, we do prefer to wait until those parts of the remodel have been finished first. This allows us to prevent unnecessary cleanup and possible damage to the tiles.

One of the great things about ceramic and porcelain tiles is that they do not ned to be sealed. However, if you use natural stone for your project, it will need to be sealed both before and after your project due to it’s porous nature. Also, any grout used during the installation process will need to be sealed and maintained no matter what tile you use. This will help keep your tile work beautiful for years to come.

It depends on the room you’re looking at tiling and your goals for that room. If you’re tiling a smaller bathroom, we recommend using larger tile since that will help make the room look larger. If you’re looking to add more dimension to a room without making it look bigger, there are multiple tiling options including using geometric tile, adding wood or stone, and more.
